I’ve updated to the latest version with the new chat feature (1.5.0) but the chat tab is completely blank.
I receive notifications saying that someone has sent a message but when I go into the app there is nothing there. Also there is no way for me to type a message.
I’ve doing some digging and I’m sending you a DM with some questions.
An ad block and user privacy tool on Android was blocking the chat.stream-io-api.com domain name, which caused the feature to fail.
We’ll get our support docs updated, and add some logic inside the app itself to detect these failures and provide some guidance to future users who come across this.
Folks who happen to have this issue can add an exception for chat.stream-io-api.com inside whatever app or tool they’re using, and chat should work as intended going forward.
