StepSmash Release 1.6.0
New Feature: Badges
We’re excited to introduce badges in StepSmash. Every time you finish in the top 3, you’ll earn a badge that shows off your performance on your profile for everyone to see.
What’s new
- Top 3 finish badges
- Finish 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in any game to earn a badge. Badges are available in Steps Challenges (Workweek and Weekend) and Bingo games (Public and Private).
- Bingo Blitz, exclusive to StepSmash+ members, grants a special badge.
- Badge shelf on your profile
- All the badges you’ve earned are displayed in a dedicated shelf on your profile. Tap any badge to see when and where you earned it.
- See other players’ badges
- Visit a friend’s profile to explore their badge collection and see how they’re performing.
- Celebrations for top 3 finishes
- When you place in the top 3, a celebratory animation will appear with your new badge the next time you open the app.
Other improvements
- Unread chat notifications on game cards
- The dashboard now shows which games have new messages with a notification count on each game card.
- More granular notifications
- You can now control which events trigger push notifications, including new players joining, position changes, and how many bingo tiles you can flip after a sync, so you only get alerts that matter.
- Improved game sorting
- Games are now listed in the most useful order: active games first, upcoming games next, and completed games last.
- Better time display
- Game cards now show minutes for events starting or ending within the hour, so you know exactly how much time you have.
- Smoother fitness account connections
- We removed unnecessary confirmation dialogs for a faster, cleaner setup experience.
Bug fixes
- Fixed an issue where account deletion was not working correctly
- Fixed blurry player avatars in some locations
- Fixed Apple Sign In being unreliable on some devices
