StepSmash Release 1.4.0

StepSmash Release 1.4.0

Rolling out over the next few days on iOS and Android. This update brings quality-of-life polish along with a couple of requested options for games. Keep the feedback coming, we read it all!

New

  • Custom Step Challenges
StepSmash+ subscribers can now start a brand-new game type: Step Challenge. Choose a challenge length between 1–30 days, and set a start date anywhere from today up to 7 days in the future.

  • Custom Start Date for Smash Bingo
Smash Bingo games are no longer locked to “start today.” You can still launch right away, or pick any start date within the next 7 days to better match your group’s schedule.

Improvements

  • Tap a player avatar in-game → View Profile
From the Activities, Leaderboard, and other in-game views, you can now jump straight to another player’s profile—making it easier to send friend requests from ongoing games.

  • Real Fitness Brand Logos
We’ve replaced temporary placeholders with the official Fitbit, Apple Health, Samsung Health, and Garmin Connect logos throughout setup and account screens. This not only looks better, but also aligns with requirements for an upcoming integration partner.

Fixes

  • Debounced a few overly-eager buttons/actions
Some buttons could trigger twice in quick succession, leading to duplicate game creation and other odd behavior. We’ve added debouncing in those flows to keep things smooth.
