New Features

  • Profile Stats

    • Your profile now includes stats for your play history.
    • See your total games played, win rate, and games won.
    • See games by type, including Smash Bingo, Step Challenge, Weekend Warriors, Workweek Hustle, and Bingo Blitz.
    • See tiles flipped by activity type, including steps, active minutes, and distance.
    • See the people you compete against most often.
    • You can also control who can see your stats in Settings → Privacy by choosing Public (everyone) or Friends only.

  • Lifetime Smash Bingo badges

    • New badges celebrate your all-time tile flips in Smash Bingo.
    • Earn badges for flipping 10, 50, 150, 500, or 1,500 tiles in each activity type: steps, active minutes, and distance.
    • Progress carries across all of your games.

  • Smash Bingo Bonus Improvements

    • We’ve improved the bonus experience in Smash Bingo.
    • You can now save bonuses for later and easily see all unused bonuses you’ve earned in each game.
    • We’ve also polished the bonus flow with updated animations and effects, making it clearer when a bonus is used and what happens next.

  • Block user accounts

    • You can now block other user accounts in StepSmash. Blocking a user will:
      • Immediately remove them from your friends list if you were already friends
      • Hide nearly all profile details for both users, with only the name and profile picture still visible
      • Prevent either user from sending the other a friend request
      • Allow you to still appear in the same games, but chat will be muted between you so you cannot communicate

Performance and reliability improvements

  • The Smash Bingo tile grid now loads much faster, especially on Android devices.
  • We’ve made significant under-the-hood changes that should result in the app feeling more responsive and smoother as you use it.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue preventing accurate syncing of steps from Samsung Health
  • Fixed the profile screen sometimes not scrolling properly.
  • Fixed login errors disappearing before you could read them.
  • Fixed an issue where badge screens had a grammatical error.

Patch Update

This over-the-air update includes a couple of minor fixes

  • In rare cases we’re seeing Samsung Health sync failures due to network connection issues. The Android version of StepSmash will now more aggressively retry those sync actions.
  • Fixed an issue where when joining Bingo Blitz the “Join” interface would not disappear until the app was restarted.
  • Fixed an issue where the activities list in a game could be ordered incorrectly.

This over-the-air update includes a small improvement and a couple of minor fixes

Improvements

  • Added an indicator to Smash Bingo cards on the home screen when you’ve completed your pattern but the challenge is not over yet.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where multiple players in step challenges could appear as “You”.
  • Fixed an issue where your step count could briefly show as 0 right after creating or joining a step challenge.
  • Fixed an issue where signing out of StepSmash and back in with a different account could briefly show the previous user’s data.
