StepSmash Release 1.7.0
New Features
-
Android Health Connect Integration
- Android users can now sync fitness data directly from Health Connect, Google’s unified health data platform.
-
Heart Rate-Based Active Minutes
-
To improve 3rd party fitness tracker support in Apple Health and Health Connect StepSmash can now use your heart rate data to calculate Active Minutes. This provides a better measure of exercise intensity than step-based estimates alone. For a deep dive on how this works see our support article: How Active Minutes Work in StepSmash
-
This opens up support for a wide range of popular fitness trackers that sync heart rate data to Apple Health or Android Health Connect; including Oura, Whoop, Amazfit, Coros, and many more.
-
To enable this, grant heart rate permissions and provide us with your approximate age when prompted during fitness account.
-
