We’re thrilled to see so many new faces joining StepSmash over the last few days. With all the new connections being made, we also heard from some of you that you’d like more control over who can find your profile when searching for friends.
That’s now possible with new privacy settings.
Choose Your Visibility
You can now decide who sees you in StepSmash friend searches:
- Everyone – anyone can find you.
- Friends of Friends – only people connected through your existing friends can find you.
Default Behavior
- If you’re just starting out with no friends yet, your visibility will default to Everyone so others can discover you.
- Once you’ve added your first friend, your visibility will automatically switch to Friends of Friends.
What’s Next
The ability to manually change your visibility will be available in the upcoming 1.3.0 release.
