I consistently beat my friend and when we shared screenshots of our cards her goals were much harder. Can it be an option to make the cards the same when you set up the game? We would rather it be fair.
Welcome to StepSmash, and thanks for the feedback!
I totally understand why this feels unfair at first glance. The hard part is making one identical board where every person still has a real shot at winning, even when everyone has different jobs, routines, fitness levels, trackers, and lifestyles.
As a personal example, I usually earn 4–5x more Active Zone Minutes than my wife because of physiological differences and a medication that affects my heart rate. So in a 7-day Smash Bingo game, she might get Active Minute tiles worth 5, while mine are closer to 30 or 35. If we pushed her numbers up to match mine, I’d almost always win because I earn those minutes much faster.
That said, this request has come up before, and there’s a related suggestion we really like: an optional setting where boards are based on the group average and everyone gets the same board.
That probably won’t replace the default settings, but it could be a great option for groups who prefer identical cards.
Do you think this would work for you and your friend?
I think having different options would be great. However you could create those options would be good in case someone keeps winning every game…you can try the other option and see if it gets more competitive.
